Who can enrol in a Udyogvikas Kendra course?
Anyone in a district we serve — students, working professionals and homemakers — can enrol. Course eligibility (age, education) varies by program and is confirmed during counselling.
Are the courses certified?
Yes. Courses are aligned with national frameworks such as NCVT, NAPS/NATS and RPL, delivered under the UdyogVikas Skills Council umbrella, and result in recognised certification.
Do I need to travel outside my district?
No. The entire purpose of Udyogvikas Kendra is to bring enrolment, counselling and (where possible) training to your own district center.
Are all courses free?
Some programs are offered free of cost, while others (like certain B.Voc or specialised courses) may have fees. Your district center will clearly share this before enrolment.
What's the difference between a skill course, NCVT, RPL and a B.Voc degree?
A skill course is quick and certificate-based; NCVT gives a nationally recognised trade certificate; RPL certifies skills you already have through assessment, with no fresh training required; a B.Voc is a full multi-year degree combining academic credit with vocational training. See the Education page for a full comparison.
I already have work experience — do I need to sit through a full course?
Not necessarily. If you have relevant hands-on experience but no formal certificate, ask your center about RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) — a 5-step assessment path to certification without fresh classroom training.
How do I apply for a job or internship?
Submit the Employment enquiry form with your district and role of interest. Your local Udyogvikas Kendra center will match you with relevant openings from our industry partner network.
What apprenticeship schemes are available?
NAPS and NATS (national schemes), plus MAPS and CMKYKY (Maharashtra state schemes). All are structured, earn-while-you-learn programs, typically 12–24 months, free of cost to candidates.
Is placement support free?
Yes, employment, apprenticeship and internship placement support through Udyogvikas Kendra centers is provided free of cost.
What if there are no openings in my district right now?
Your enquiry stays with your district center, and you will be contacted as soon as a matching opportunity — local or otherwise — becomes available.
Does support end once I'm placed?
No. Post-completion support continues after enrolment, and guidance for upskilling or a future move is available even after you're placed.
What is Udyogvikas Kendra Mitra?
Mitra is a community referral program — anyone with a 10th-grade education can become a local ambassador, helping neighbours discover courses, apprenticeships and jobs, and earning performance-based income with no upfront investment.
Can my business hire through Udyogvikas Kendra?
Yes. Local businesses and MSMEs can register as a hiring partner via Contact Us to access job-ready, trained candidates, with apprenticeship compliance and stipend processing handled for you.
I have a business idea but no experience — can you help?
Yes. Our entrepreneurship mentoring is built specifically for first-time founders, starting from idea validation through to registration and launch.
Do you provide funding?
Udyogvikas Kendra does not directly fund businesses, but our mentors guide you toward relevant government schemes — such as PMEGP, Mudra Yojana or Stand-Up India — and micro-finance options you may be eligible for.
Can an existing small business get help too?
Absolutely — MSME registration guidance, market linkage and growth mentoring are available to existing small businesses, not just new founders.
I just finished a skill course — can I start my own business instead of taking a job?
Yes. Many learners move from a skill course straight into self-employment — ask your center about entrepreneurship mentoring alongside your certification.
How do I open a Udyogvikas Kendra skill center in my district?
Use the Contact Us page and select "Open a Udyogvikas Kendra Skill Center in my district." Our franchise team will reach out with eligibility criteria and next steps.
Is my district exclusive to my center?
Yes — each Udyogvikas Kendra skill center is allocated exclusive territory rights for its district, and all leads from that district are routed only to that center.
What support does head office provide?
Head office provides curriculum, industry tie-ups, branding, compliance guidance and a steady stream of routed local leads.
How are leads assigned to my center?
Every enquiry submitted through this website includes a district. Leads are automatically associated with the district of the center that covers that area.
Can my center design or print its own certificates?
No. Only UdyogVikas Skills Council has the authority to design certificates, approve results and issue certification. Centers deliver training and support enrolment and assessment logistics.
What standards must a center follow?
Every center operates under the Skill Center Affiliation & Code of Conduct — covering territory, fees, accurate representation and record-keeping. See the full Policy page for details.
